An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire’s Public Health Localities Team. We are a county wide team working in a place-based and asset focused way with the communities of Derbyshire to improve health and wellbeing.

The successful candidates will work as part of a team in agreed local areas.  In addition, team responsibilities will include supervision of staff and managing county wide pieces of work. You will be joining a central Locality Team and will work alongside a Public Health Lead and Service Delivery Officer in the locality area.

The Health Improvement Practitioner is a key role focused on building and maintaining relationships with partners, setting up Service Level Agreements, evaluating how well local pieces of work have been delivered and sharing insight from local areas to support countywide decision making.

The team uses asset-based approaches and works with communities to understand what is important to them. We are looking for team players, who are committed to improving health and wellbeing of communities in Derbyshire, through working to build trust with colleagues, partners and communities and who are self-aware and able to reflect, learn and develop in the role.
