Parts Officer, Driver Handyperson

County Transport – Darley Dale Workshops

£25,183  - £25,638 per annum – plus market leading package (see below) 

County Transport are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Parts Officer, Driver handyperson to work as part of a team at our Darley Dale Workshop.

Working in a Motor Vehicle Workshop environment, the successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience and skills that are associated with the procurement of vehicle parts and accessories. Including stock control and replenishment.  Working with our own bespoke Fleet Management System the successful candidate will also be required to use other IT software including Microsoft and SAP.

A full a valid Driving Licence with Category B, D1 and C entitlements is a requirement for this role as the successful candidate will be required to collect and deliver a wide range of vehicles to assist the workshop with vehicle servicing, and repair work at local dealerships. They will also be required to assist with the general housekeeping and cleanliness of the workshop, and carry out minor property maintenance, repairs and alterations as required.

All standard and specialist tools and are supplied as part of the position, along with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and branded workwear.

The role will be based at our Darley Dale Workshop and the standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm. On Occasion the successful candidate may be required to assist at the other County Transport Workshops.

Due to the nature of the work undertaken, the successful candidate will be required to undertake and pass a police security NPPV2 vetting check.
