Moors for the Future Partnership carries out landscape scale restoration to the internationally important moorland areas within the Peak District and South Pennines. This work is supported by an exciting multidisciplinary programme of research and monitoring that covers the key ecosystem services delivered by these moorlands.

The postholders will help with the delivery of projects within the Partnership’s science programme; duties may include fieldwork (ecological, hydrological), data management including GIS data, report writing and communications.

Applicants for this post will hold a HND or higher in a relevant scientific discipline or countryside management. They will have good IT and GIS skills and a sound knowledge of upland habitats and their management.

The post is based at the Moorland Centre in Edale and involves travel throughout the Peak District and South Pennines.
