Derbyshire Library Service is seeking to appoint a Library Manager for the Alfreton cluster of libraries. Reporting to the Area Manager (South) they will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of libraries in the cluster, managing and developing teams to deliver the highest level of customer service. Working alongside a team of library managers, they will ensure the effective delivery of a modern high-quality customer focussed service.
The Library Manager will create, support and plan a programme of events and activities to fulfil the library offer whilst also developing more efficient ways of working to provide an effective delivery of services.
Experience of building cohesive and motivated teams and ensuring policies and processes are implemented and adhered to by all staff should be demonstrated. The ability to plan, coordinate and promote events and activities across local communities is also required as the role is instrumental in engaging with teams internally and externally to progress projects against the libraries action plan.
This full-time post is for 37 hours a week on a flexi contract.
