We are looking for a Principal Lawyer to join our expanding and successful Regulatory, Safeguarding and Litigation legal team. You will be joining an established team of over 30 lawyers, para legal and business support officers. You will work closely with client departments providing legal advice and support on a range of complex social care and local government matters.
In addition to playing a key role in relation to the leadership of the team you will also provide legal advice on complex areas of work for both the Adult Social Care and Health and Children's Services departments.
The team adopts an agile working policy with flexible working arrangements which includes access to a range of bases as well as remote or home working. The team are very approachable and have developed very strong and resilient arrangements for communication and support with a duty system in place to ensure an immediate point of contact.
You will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with an Advocacy Certificate who shares the Council's ambition to work together with our partners and communities to be an enterprising council, delivering value for money and enabling local people and places to thrive.
