The governors are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking friendly team from February 2019 or as soon as possible.

The post is to work in close partnership with the class teacher in helping in the delivery of effective teaching for a Year 5 class, supporting with Special Educational Needs. The successful applicant will be required to provide opportunities for individual support in addressing targets identified in the IEP and in accordance with the Education and Health Care Plan. Experience of working with children with difficulties in learning, communication, and social skills will be essential. In addition, some motor support may be required for minor physical difficulties. We are, a modern semi-rural school situated in an old pit village on the edge of Chesterfield and pride ourselves on being a very caring school with an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
