We are looking to recruit an experienced professional to join our academy to support our vulnerable pupils who are on roll at the Chesterfield sites to develop their reading ability. These pupils are in KS3 and 4. The aim is to help older pupils develop their reading age to be closer to their chronological age or at least to be functional in society. We are aligned to the Read Write Inc, Fresh Start phonics programme and wish to develop this with a dedicated member of staff. This is a new role and is available due to an increase in pupil numbers across the academy and a need to have a staff member with expertise in phonics and reading. The candidate will be based at our Hasland site, however, could evolve to cover a new site in the Chesterfield area once this is sourced.
