The club is based in the peaceful and picturesque Peak District village of Curbar and provides the only Ofsted registered wraparound care and holiday provision for children from Baslow, Curbar and Pilsley Primary Schools.

The club is a highly valued service for local working parents/carers and is much loved by the children. 623 Club is a registered charity, and the team is supported by a dedicated voluntary committee of trustees who assist with guiding the club's activities and ensuring it meets its charitable objectives.

The 623 Club operates five days a week during school term time, with morning sessions from 7:30am to 9:00am and afternoon sessions from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Additionally, during school holidays, the Holiday Club runs three days a week, offering care from 8:30am to 6:00pm.

The successful candidate will be required to work after school for 2 to 3 days a week, with the option to take additional shifts at the Holiday Club during school holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a smooth and safe transition for children from school to the club.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, setup, and delivery of a wide variety of engaging and appropriate play activities.
  • Provide a stimulating and welcoming environment, adhering to hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Support the Manager in complying with national safeguarding policies, the Early Years and Childcare Register, and Ofsted registration requirements.
  • Ensure that all club areas are cleaned and left tidy after use.

The ideal candidate will have a paediatric first aid certificate, and be trained in food hygiene and safeguarding, or be willing to undertake training upon appointment.  Since the position involves working with children, a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.

Staff members are allowed to bring their children to accompany them during their shifts. This arrangement could be ideal for someone seeking flexible working hours, particularly around school schedules, and those who want to balance work with family responsibilities.

We look forward to hearing from you.
