Brassington Primary School is looking for a reliable and diligent Caretaker to keep the school clean and welcoming for all who attend the school.  

The successful candidate will have knowledge of cleaning standards and/or will be willing to train in this area. The role includes thorough daily cleaning of all areas of the school.

The Caretaker will also be responsible for locking the school, as well as maintaining water and alarm logs, for which training will be given.

The hours can be worked flexibly, outside the school day, in the early morning or evening depending on the candidate's circumstances.

There are other opportunities for additional hours at other schools in The Village Federation for Midday Play Workers to supervise children at lunchtimes, so it may suit candidates who would like to undertake both roles. 

The successful candidate will start in February 2024, after the retirement of our current staff member. We welcome applications from any career background.
