An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Childrens Services Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Early Help & Safeguarding teams in the following locations.
Post 1 based at Clay Cross Area Office, 37 hours per week.
Post 2 based at Shirebrook Children’s Centre, 37 hours per week.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential.
What will I be doing:
- Providing general administrative support to teams and staff.
- Undertaking routine clerical duties including but not limited to data entry, recording information, photocopying, scanning and uploading.
- Undertaking routine monitoring of shared email accounts.
- Maintaining electronic and manual filing, document management and record keeping.
- Producing letters and other processed communication using standard formats and templates
- Maintaining adequate cover within the service including reception duties.
- Receiving telephone enquiries, message taking and call re-direction.
- Finance tasks including handling petty cash, placing orders and processing invoices, while always adhering to DCC financial regulations.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
- An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of general administrative tasks.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Good communication
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational
- An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- An ability to work within organisational policies and procedures.
- An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
- Enthusiasm and transferable skills
