Job Title:

Arts Partnership Manager

Purpose of the Post

To facilitate the work of the Derbyshire Local Authorities' Arts Partnership and provide strategic direction.

Accountable To

Assistant Head of Arts.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities - Specific

To provide strategic direction for the Partnership, in liaison with the Assistant Head of Arts.
To develop and implement for the Partnership's programmes of work and to facilitate joint working.
To manage the process of establishing and maintaining a business plan for the Partnership.
To manage , monitor and evaluate Partnership projects and initiatives.
To identify internal and external funding potential and prepare and submit grant applications for bids on Partnership-led initiatives and secure growth of resources for the arts.
To advise senior managers and elected members on matters relating to the Partnership.
To represent the Partnership and advocate for the arts with regional and local agencies.
To establish and maintain links with external agencies on Partnership initiatives.
To manage and monitor the Partnership budget, in liaison with the Assistant Head of Arts and Head of Support Services.
To produce reports to the Partnership as required.
To attend meetings including representing the Partnership as required.
To attend training courses , as requested.
To develop and monitor the Arts Derbyshire website project, including technical, funding and staffing issues.

Duties and Responsibilities - General

To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
It will be necessary to work with information technology and associated systems in accordance with County Council policies.
To co-operate with the council in complying with relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post.
To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with the County Council's equal opportunities policies.
To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
To understand and comply with the County Council's environmental policies.
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
